RIM Ice Melter - How to Prevent Concrete Damage

  1. Make sure newly installed concrete has cured for 12 months
  2. Remove slush from ice melter as soon as possible
  3. Concrete with exposed aggregate or that is pre-cast, pre-stressted, chipped or weak is more vulnerable to ice melter damage
  4. Avoid using any kind of ice melters on new concrete that is less than 12 months old.
